How to calibrate your controller
Connect with a USB cable
Use Chrome or Edge on a computer. Bluetooth is not supported for calibration.
Calibrate the centre
Follow four short prompts: push both sticks to a corner, release them, press Continue.
Calibrate the range
Roll both sticks slowly around their outer edge until the progress bar fills.
Test, then save
Check the result in the gamepad tester. Save permanently when you're happy, or restart the controller to undo.
What it does
Stick centre
Teaches the controller where each stick really rests — guided in four steps, or one click on a DualSense.
Stick range
Records the full circle each stick can reach so it hits 100% in every direction without overshooting.
Finetune and history
On a DualSense, adjust the stored centre and edge values by hand and restore any earlier calibration.
Hardware tests
Check vibration, adaptive triggers, lights, speaker, headphone jack, microphone, touchpad and motion sensors.

Before you start
Calibration rewrites settings inside the controller. It stays temporary until you save it, and restarting the controller undoes it. Keep the cable connected until each step finishes. Non-genuine controllers are detected and blocked.
Calibration fixes a stick whose centre or range has shifted. It cannot repair a stick that is physically worn, dirty or broken. A DualSense Edge only keeps a permanent calibration if its stick modules have the hardware modification.
Questions
Can calibration fix PS5 stick drift?
Often, yes — when the drift comes from a shifted centre point. If the stick is physically worn, the drift will return and the module needs repair.
Why do I need a USB cable?
Calibration commands are only accepted over USB. Over Bluetooth the controller can be tested but not calibrated.
Which browsers work?
Chrome, Edge and other Chromium browsers on Windows, macOS, Linux and ChromeOS. Firefox, Safari and phones don't support the WebHID connection this needs.
Is it safe?
On a genuine controller, yes. Changes stay temporary until you save them, and restarting the controller undoes them. Clones are blocked because they can be damaged.
Can I undo a permanent calibration?
Yes, by calibrating again. Each new calibration replaces the previous one.
Is any data sent anywhere?
No. Everything happens between your browser and the controller.
